Practical support from real agronomists

Camelina

Camelina (Camelina sativa) is a hardy, relatively low-input brassica with rapid establishment and good tolerance of cool and dry conditions. Its fine, branching root system helps occupy the upper soil profile and capture residual nutrients. Because it develops quickly without producing excessively coarse biomass, camelina can be a useful component of multispecies mixtures. It is particularly interesting for early spring or late-season sowings where more heat-demanding species establish poorly.
